A near complete cast copper-alloy bar mount of the Medieval period, c.1350-1450.
The mount has a central circular hollow backed body with two terminal lobes. The central body is decorated with 4 poorly executed parallel incised lines. Each of the two terminal lobes has the remains of a rivet set within a central hole. It is a dark grey brown with some green patination.
The length is 18.28mm, width is 9.75mm, thickness is 4.44mm, and the weight is 1.54 grams
Relatively common find on the PAS database and similar in design to those illustrated by Brian Read (2001, 23, nos.151) and Egan & Pritchard (1991, 214, fig.134, nos. 1160 ,1161) which are dated 1350-1450.
