A possible Early Medieval lead gaming piece dating to c. 800 - 1100 AD. The object is circular in plan and domed with a flat base which has been hollowed. Inside the hollow dome there is a small indentation which could possibly be where the object was attached to another object. The gaming piece is possibly an Anglo-Scandinavian gaming piece and similar objects have been recorded on the PAS database, including NLM-C71CDE, NLM-B3DF94, NLM-B3D4A3, DUR-5F614C, LEIC-1B5446.
The object is 16.3mm in height, 23.7mm in width, 18.4mm in thickness, and weighs 22.21g.
