Copper alloy button. Discoid die-stamped button front, almost flat, with a central scar on the back where a separate loop has been lost. The front bears a lightly embossed centre with surrounding ring of pellets in a shallow gutter, and with an outer order of interlinked oval figures, possibly against a red-tinted field. The position of the loop is surrounded by a cabled ring. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1825-1875
