The brooch is flat, circular, and decorated on the front with five moulded concentric rings, forming a border. The centre of the brooch is decorated with a moulded straight-armed cross motif. In the centre is a moulded, domed pellet. Each angle is decorated with many small pellets or dots.

The reverse has two moulded lugs (a double pin lug) at one side, and the remains of a moulded integral catchplate on the opposite edge. Part of the edge of the brooch is missing. It is 42.5mm in diameter and 6.3mm thick. It weighs 23.58g

Compare LIN-FA59A9 which notes that "A close parallel comes from South Ferriby, North Lincolnshire (Leahy 2007, fig. 80; Weetch 2014, no. 322), with a second, from Bardney, recorded on this database (LIN-0D8085)." See also LEIC-AFFEB8 and PUBLIC-D26448. See Weetch (2014) page 285 ff.
