Medieval gilt copper alloy strap end formed from one rectangular piece of sheet copper alloy folded widthways with a wide gap at the fold. There is an integral copper alloy rivet on the reverse of the upper end where the folded end is secured through a cracked rivet-hole. Length 25.5mm. Width 14mm. c.1270 - c.1400.
