Lead cloth seal. Paul Cannon kindly comments as follows: 'The crowned arms are those of the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands. The inscription reads, starting at 2 o'clock, "[H]AERLEMS GOET" ie Haarlem's goods. The other face probably has the numerals '20'. For a parallel with the same inscription 'GETWYNT' from a Dutch museum see https://www.textielmuseum.nl/nl/collectie/05655 This is a much less common version of the normal Haarlem's seals of which there are many on PAS eg https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/953338 For an explanation of Getwynt see http://www.bagseals.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=4965'.

Cast disc with a quasi-heraldic motif on its front, and a smaller [diameter15.7mm] disc flattened against its back; where not obscured the back bears the imprint of a coarsely woven textile. The front bears a central heater-shield charged with across potent, above four stars flanking a T-shaped object, perhaps a screw press. A label above the shield reads GETWYNT, and a spread crown topped by triangular 'fleurs' with pellets between is set above the crown. A circumferential legend reads: AERI.EMSGO.EI.

An O-shaped figure or letter appears on the smaller disc behind that described above, possibly next to another O and the two separated by a comma/apostrophe, all within a ring of pellets. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1750-1850

Diameter: 27.0mm, Thickness (overall): 2.8mm, Weight: 8.22gms

Inscription: GETWYNT // "[H]AERLEMS GOET
