A complete lead-alloy spindle whorl or weight probably dating from the Early Medieval to Medieval period. The object is biconical in shape with an even circular perforation thorough the centre. The underside is flat and all the surfaces are uneven and undecorated. It is 16.4mm in diameter and 8.4mm thick. The perforation is 4.2mm in diameter. The object weighs 12.2 grams.
