A conical flint core with a single striking platform from which run long narrow parallel blade removal scars. One side of the core appears to have been lost in antiquity leaving a flat, unworked face. The colour of the flint is dark brown with a white patina resulting from prolonged deposition in calcareous sediments. Early Mesolithic, 9000-8000 BC.
