An incomplete pierced silver probable pence, probably of Elizabeth I (AD 1558 to AD 1603), probably dating to the period AD 1591/2 to 94. Mintmark: possibly Tun. Minted at the Tower of London. Coin probably has been pierced at 7 o'clock on the reverse. Sub square piercing. Internal dimensions are 1.6 mm by 1.1 mm. C.f. North vol 2, p137, no 2017.
