A complete and worn post-Medieval silver halfgroat of Charles I (1625-1649), minted at London under Parliament. Probably Group D. Initial marks: P within brackets (P)/(P), 1643-1644 (North 1991: 162, ref: 2258).

Obverse: C[AROLVS D G] M.B:F:ET.H:REX; Crowned bust facing left with II (mark of value) behind the head.

Reverse: [IVSTITIA] THRONVM FIRMAT (Justice strengthens the throne); Oval garnished shield.

Diameter: 16.0mm. Weight: 0.86g. DA=12:7.
