A fragment of a copper alloy T shaped Brooch of Roman date (AD 55-150). The object is a hinged initial T shape brooch. The object is composed of one of the two wings and a small portion of the bow. The second wing, pin, remainder of the bow, foot and catchplate are all missing due to old abraded breaks. The retained wing is cylindrical in shape, and circular cross section. The bow is flattened and expanded in cross section. The retained wing and portion of the bow are decorated with moulded relief decoration, composed of a series of three ridges which extend vertically down the bow. The wing is decorated with three similar vertical lines which follow the line of the cylindrical wings.
