An incomplete copper-alloy Roman brooch of the Colchester derivative hinged type, dating to AD 43-120. The head has two cylindrical wings, which retain the possibly copper-alloy axis bar; one of the wing is incomplete. The back of the head has a transverse slot, from which a fragment of the pin is still hinged to the axis bar. The bow is roughly D-shaped and tapers towards the break. The surfaces are heavily worn.
