Incomplete copper alloy early medieval (Anglos Scandinavian) stirrup strap mount of Williams Class A, Type 3 dating c.1000-1100AD. Only the mid-section of the mount survives, but it would have depicted a standing figure of a man with his arms and legs apart, facing the viewer, entwined by two serpents. The object has some wear to the original surface but where it survives it has a dark green patina.
