A flint retouched flake of possibly Neolithic date (4000 BC - 2200 BC). It is a flake formed on dark grey flint, and is a rough quadrilateral in plan, the proximal end being narrower. There is short, sub-parallel, abrupt retouch on the proximal end, and possible retouch on all the other edges, but this could also be edge damage. The three faces on the dorsal face are very flat, not appearing to have any visible direction of striking ripples, and the distal end is concave, being a previous removal scar. The removals on the distal end are restricted to the corners between the dorsal and distal end, and the distal and ventral face. The flake is 30.4mm long, 21.6mm wide and 7mm thick. 5.5g.
