Very worn late Anglo-Saxon copper alloy stirrup-strap mount of Williams's Class A, Type 1. The mount is pentagonal in form, with a stepped flange at right angles to the base of the reverse. There is a central apex loop, and two further fixing holes on the lower half of the mount, positioned just above the flange. A design of two addorsed beasts beneith a pendent lobe is engraved into the surface of the mount, now visible as lines of green corrosion. The remaining surface has an orange-red patina.
