Early Post Medieval incomplete mount from sword belt, elaborate sub-rectangular openwork with moulded transverse ribs with oblique notches, one of which is slightly raised convex, the other has projecting plate broken across rivet-hole, integral loop on side near raised bar, 23 x (at least) 27mm. Cf. Read (1995), no.716. 16th century.
