Copper alloy thimble fragment. A conical pressed metal thimble with a narrow plain basal zone separated from the rest of the wall by an incised line. The rest of the wall bears small round machine-stamped pits which appear as if arranged in diagonal rows. The top bears a rectilinear grid or lattice of larger indentations. Torn, with most of the base lost. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1850-1900
