A worn rim sherd of a wheel thrown sand tempered pottery vessel made from a pale grey fabric with abundant small and well sorted dark grey granular inclusions (<0.25mm) along with infrequent poorly sorted rounded to angular pale grey quartz and flint inclusions up to 3mm across. Most likely Roman Oxfordshire parchment or white ware. The original diameter of the rim may have been around 30cm.
