A clipped, silver, long-cross farthing of Edward II (1307-1327). Probably North class 10-11, dated to 1310-1314. See North 1991, p. 38 no. 1070/1. London mint.
Obverse: [E]DWA[RDVS] [RE]X; Crowned bust facing with bifoliate crown with no ornaments. Almost plain initial cross. Wedged drapery. Beaded inner circle around king's head.
Reverse: [C]IVI/[T]AS/LON/[DON]; Long-cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.
The coin measures 12.16 mm in length, 10.59 mm in width and weighs 0.33 g. DA: 5.
