A fragment of Roman shale bracelet dating from about AD 43 - 410. It is D shaped in cross-section and is undecorated. It has longitudinal striations on both faces.

The material is grey brown on the surface, and the same colour throughout at one end, but with a dark red colour on the other broken face. The fragment is so small that It does not have a measurable curve to estimate the original shape and size of the complete object. The fragment is 19mm long, 16.6mm wide and 5.4mm thick. 2.8g.
