A complete copper alloy coin weight, made in Middelburg, by maker Matthijs Molckman between AD 1585 to AD 1610.
The coin weight is square with a design on either side. The obverse possibly depicts a rampart lion within a circular pellet border. The reverse depicts the Arms of Zeeburg, with the letter M to either side.
It measures 15.2 mm in length, 15.6 mm wide and 4.3 mm thick. It weighs 5.9 g.
The coin weight is a dark green colour with an even surface patina.
Several similar coin weights have been recorded on the PAS database, as being produced by the same maker, Matthijs Molckman. These are: LON-AB5001; SWYOR-27A9C3 and YORYM-B8E661. The coin denomination that the weight was produced for is uncertain.
