A Medieval copper alloy composite strap end with a forked sheet spacer, dating to c. AD 1250-1450. The strap end, which comprises of a copper alloy sheet front and backplate with a central sheet spacer, is sub-rectangular in plan, with a terminal knop and escalloped attachment end, with two notches. The plates are riveted together, with one rivet at either end, both on the longitudinal axis.
