A gilt copper-alloy sheet metal possible strap fitting or similar object of late medieval to post medieval date.

Description: The object is formed from a sheet metal lozenge plate with a strip of sheet copper-alloy rivet to the back at the apex of each point.The upper surface. The upper surface of the sheet metal plate has the petals and details of a flower incised onto it, some additional petal details are picked out with circular punching. The object is fairly heavily patinated with a light green patination. One end of the loop has been detached and the entire object is slightly warped.

Measurements: 23.5mm long, 20.18mm wide, 15.36mm thick (including folded over back loop, 1.44mm thick and 4.85g in weight.
