An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval buckle, dating to AD 1270-1450. It consists of the rectangular front plate of the buckle; it has two circular holes on the corners of the attachment end and remnants of the folds on the outside edge. The front face of the plate is decorated with an incised motif depicting a dragon facing right, enclosed in an engraved rectangle; the upper field of the rectangle bears a lattice motif. The surfaces are very worn but, traces of gilding are still visible on the front face of the folds.
