A Roman copper-alloy nummus of Constantine II (AD 317-340), dating to the period c.AD 320-321 (Reece period 16). VIRTVS EXERCIT reverse type depicting a Standard inscribed VOT/XX, captive seated either side. Mint of London. As RIC VII, p. 109, no. 190.
The coin has a black patina and has been silver washed, traces remain on the reverse at the base of the Standard between captives and around the Mint mark.
Measurements :- Diameter 18.1mm, thickness 1.8mm, and weight 2.8g. Die Axis 6 o'clock.
