A flint core fragment of probably late Neolithic to early Bronze Age date, about 3300 BC - 1000 BC. It is formed on patinated flint, a tertiary chunk. It is a complex core, broadly oval in plan and cross-section. There are previous removal scars on all faces, with most blade removals struck from two platforms opposite to each other, but other flakes struck from other directions. The products appear to have been a mixture of broad flakes and small blades. The core is 53.5mm long, 29.1mm wide and 28.2mm thick. 37g.
