An incomplete Late Saxon copper alloy tongue-shaped openwork strap end of Thomas 2004, Class E, Type 1, in very abraded condition with the open end missing from an ancient break. Due to the amount of wear there is only a very small amount of decoration visible at the end of the object. The object is of openwork design in the Winchester style. The object is tongue shaped with three pairs of circular perforations symetrically spaced along it.
Length 27.79mm. Width 20.16mm. Thickness 2.72mm, Weight 4.3g.
