Lead spindle whorl of uncertain date within the period c. AD 43 - 1900. The spindle whorl is circular in shape and rectangular in section, with a large central, circular perforation. It has a patchy white and brown patina. It is 21.51mm in diameter, 9.59mm in thickness and weighs 20.98g. The diameter of the central perforation is 10.91mm.
Lead spindle whorls can be difficult to date without archaeological context as a similar form was used from the Roman period to the modern day.
