A cast, lead spindle whorl of Early Medieval to Medieval date, about AD 700 - 1100. It is roughly discoidal in form, with two flat faces of unequal size, making it Walton Rogers type A2. It has a maximum diameter of 29.76mm and a thickness of 13.96mm. The central aperture has a diameter of 9.18mm. It weighs 58.30g. It displays a light grey patina with creamy patches, and is undecorated.
