Unique ID: KENT-31B2A0

Object type certainty: Possibly
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A cast and inscriebd complete, copper-alloy possible Roman die.

Description: This small copper alloy die is oblong in shape and features incised lines on its four faces starting with II, III, IIII and X. The incised marks are heavily worn and it features minimal corrosion on its edges.

Measurements: 6.71g in weight, 17.77mm in length, 8.92mm thick and 7.85mm wide.

Discussion: Oblong or rectangular Roman die are recorded on the PAS database, such as ASHM-383087 and LANCUM-E6101C, unfortunately the wear on this example make exact ID difficult to pin down.
