Pale grey (appearing honey coloured under transmitted light) flint knife, as kindly identified by the finder. A thin oval-ended flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a bulb at the butt end of its ventral surface. Light misty patina may suggest the object has subsequently been exposed to a calcareous environment. Suggested date: Neolithic, 4000-2350 BC
