A complete flint lower paleolithic handaxe. It is crudely pointed in shape and has been created on a cobble with part of the cortex remaining on both faces. Bifacially worked using a soft hammer. The flint is an opaque mottled grey colour with a shiny patina. The edges are abraded or 'rolled' as is to be expected given its coastal findspot.

With thanks to Dr Hannah Cutler for identification.
