A complete flint Micro scraper of Mesolithic date (9000 - 3450 BC). The lithic is sub-rectangular in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains one predominant negative scar with corresponding arrises. There is recortification retained along the length of the left hand edge. The proximal and distal ends have been abruptly blunted and all other edges contain semi abrupt retouch. The distal end tapers in along the distal right hand edge. The ventral surface is predominantly flat with shallow ripples of percussion emanating from the distal end. The lithic retains some cortex and is therefore a secondary flake.
The flint is a light brown in colour with dark brown inclusions. The recortification is light grey in colour.
