Dark grey flint with cortex, core. A small nodule with long narrow parallel flakes removed by bipolar working from opposed larger and smaller striking platforms. A milky patina over all struck surfaces indicates the object was subsequently exposed to a calcareous environment. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC.
