An fragment cast post-medieval copper-alloy spur and hook attachment. dating to the late 17th to early 18th century.
Description: The fragment represents the terminal end of one of the spur's arm. The arm is rectangular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section terminating with two loops, forming a figure of eight attachment. Attached to one loop is a the copper-alloy attachment hook. The hook has a flat, oval body in plan with the loop have a flat projecting collar. At the centre of of the hook plate is the rusted remains of the iron attachment rivet.
Measurements: Total length 47.73mm long, 12.93mm wide, 7.03mm thick and 4.02g in weight
