A medieval copper alloy buckle plate dating to c AD 1200-1400. The buckle plate is incomplete and is bent and damaged. The remnant of the buckle plate comprises a rectangular sheet of copper alloy. The attachment end is truncated in line with two rivet holes, with a third, central rivet hole below the buckle end. Beyond the central rivet hole are the truncated remnants of one of the recessed hooks that looped over the offset bar of the buckle frame and then looped back down to the central rivet. There is evidence of gilding on the front of the buckle plate.

The plate weighs 2.02g and measures 28.14mm length, 17.22mm in width, 0.79mm in thickness and 7.16mm in height (where the plate has been bent).
