Remains of a Roman brooch of probable Polden Hill type, first century AD, bow decorated with longitudinal mouldings, the outer ones bearing incised, angled, lines. . The ends of the wings appear to have borne circumferential bands of similar incised lines. Their underside in hollowed to accommodate the coiled spring although any plates at the ends of the wings have not survived. Length 19.8mm, Width 17.7mm Height 7.1mm, Mass 2.80g.
