Romano-British clopper-alloy key handle, openwork heart-shaped with peltoid inner projections and transverse rib at terminal and on both sides, cracked rectangular-sectioned triple-collar at springing of hollow circular shank, iron key missing, 30 x 51 x 10mm. Cf. similar type (although fleur-de-lis) in Crummy 1983, fig.142. Crummy dates these to the later 2nd century onwards.
