Copper alloy mount. Cast sexfoil petalled mount with a slightly raised or domed centre bearing a central hole of diameter 4.2mm. Each petal forms a facet at a slightly different orientation to its neighbour, enabling these fine distinctions to catch the light, and each has a rounded knop at its end. Parallels in London are mostly of lead alloys. Suggested date: Late Medieval, 1350-1400
