A complete lead spindle whorl dating to the Medieval to Post Medieval periods (c. AD 1100 - 1600). The object is bi-convex; circular in plan with a prominent medial rib and a circular central aperture measuring 9.49mm in diameter. The whorl is decorated on both faces: one face with raised lines radiating from the central aperture with two raised pellets in each cell; the opposing face has a similar pattern though more compact with a greater number of raised lines and a single pellet in each cell. The whorl is grey in colour and both faces are worn.

The overall dimensions are as follows: 30.7mm in diameter, 8.59mm in thickness and 26.84g in weight.
