Flint core, probably Early Neolithic, c 4,000-3,300 BC. The core was struck, using a soft hammer, from a mottled, mid-grey, translucent flint, It is in the form of an irregular cube and exhibits three striking platforms, at around 90 degrees to each other. It was used to produce blade-like fakes, all of which suggest an Early Neolithic date. Associated debitage is also in keeping with this date. Length 40.6mm, Width 38.8mm, Thickness, 24.0mm, Mass 50.71g
