Large lead weight of probable later medieval or post medieval date (1300 - 1600). The weight is circular in plan and D shaped in cross section. The upper surface is domed - its surface is decorated with eleven unevenly spaced ribs emanating from a central boss. The areas between the ribs has been cast / removed with V shaped indentations. The underside is flat and undecorated. The weight has a mid-grey colour with a dusty corroded surface on areas suffering abrasion and a slightly polished surface on the areas protected from abrasion. A direct parallel has not been found, although it is similar to a large number of large lead weights on the PAS database.
