Medieval or early post Medieval spur rowel, 45mm in diameter and 3.5mm thick. The rowel has 14 points, one of which has snapped off, each has an eliptical section and a rounded end. The surface of each point is decorated with a raised line, 2mm wide, running its length. The raised line is disected by an incised line every 2mm, forming raised squares. The whole object has traces of gilding over its surface and the central section has traces of green corrosion. The central hole which is 3mm in diameter still has the iron pin in place.
