Small abraded body sherd and an incomplete rim sherd, probably from a cooking pot or jar of Medieval date, c.1200 to 1450. The fabric appears relatively high fired with a mid orange outer surface and grey core and inner surface. It has abundent medium-fine sand temper and c.10% poorly sorted angular patinated flink/chert temper up to 2.5mm across. Occasional rounded irregularly shaped iron stone inclusions up to 1.1mm. The rim is curved back on itself (everted) but the outer edge is abraded so the original form is not fully clear.
It is probably a Greensand Derived fabric, local to the Blackdown Hills (Allan et al 2011). The sherds weigh 12.68g.
