A fragment of a silver-gilt annular brooch comprising a section of frame, 32.9mm in length, which has a circular cross section and which is partially smooth and partially twisted. Mounted on the frame is a fragment of a diamond or lozenge shaped flat plate, 17.3mm wide. This plate is decorated with a series of three wavy concentric borders around a diamond-shaped quatrefoil with pierced dots in the centre of each lobe. Circa late 13th-14th century.
