A cast copper alloy Medieval to post-Medieval pommel dating to c. 1400 - 1600 AD. The pommel is circular in plan with an oval cross-section and has a flatten bun form. It is decorated top and bottom with 16 radiate arms of moulded lobes resembling a chrysanthemum flower head. There is a square central fixing hole. The surface has a mid-green/brown patina. The pommel measures 37.68mm in diameter, is 13.39mm thick, weighing 73.1g.
