An incomplete Medieval bichrome, glazed ceramic floor tile dating to the 14th century. This a Penn tile. Eames design No.2220 an example in the catalogue is no.13652 & 13653. The tile is decorated with a central motif of a fleur de lis. The tile is a highly fired, bright red ceramic.
