A bipolar core with two striking platforms at opposing ends, made on a crudely flaked flint nodule fragment. The flint is opaque, the original colour is light grey, however most of the object is now covered in a smooth, thin layer of re-patination creating a mid-gloss patina with areas of heavy reddish brown ferrous staining, mainly on the flake scar ridges. Two small areas of nodular cortex remain. Broad flake and more linear blade flakes scars are visible around all sides, many showing hinge fractures, making the core difficult to work, this was possibly the reason why it was discarded.
