An incomplete, cast, copper-alloy post medieval button which is missing its integrally cast circular shank on its reverse. The biconvex discoid button comprises of a raised design of a sun or spoked wheel with a central indentation which probably represents general wear. The back is decorated with short longitudinal lines extending from a raised circular motif, perhaps another sun or flower design, the central part is badly corroded and worn away. Suggested date: Post-Medieval 1800-1900.
