A complete cast copper-alloy dress hook, dating to the early post-medieval period, it fits into Read (2008) Class E, Type 3, dating to c. 1500-1550. The main body of the tag is circular in shape, with moulded relief and openwork. In the central section is a small heart, surrounded by a decorative border of seven oval petal shapes. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The attachment loop is rectangular. The overall colour of the piece is a dark brown. Length 37.3mm, Width 18.2mm, Thickness 1.4mm, Weight 2.33g.
